The coming times in the agrochemical world is clearly oriented towards “accessing” innovation, collaboration
and technology which provides an impetus to fast-track the growth of the agriculture sector. The pandemic gave birth to some challenges in every other industry, it left the agrochemical industry largely unaffected in the long-term.
Budget 2022 seeks to envision the objective of doubling farmers’ income through a multi-pronged approach centered around access to finance, access to the marketplace and access to new age technology and better farming practices related to organic farming, drone technology, and transition to carbon-neutral economy.
Implementation of ‘Kisan Drones’ is al set be a paradigm shift in the spray technology in addition to focusing on crop assessment, digitization of land records, spraying of agrochemicals and nutrients. This is aimed to boost sustainable agricultural productivity and income liquidity of the farmers.
Another important aspect would be the aiding the “aggregation of farmers” into “Farmer Producer Organization (FPO)” which provides an efficient solution towards building scale and strengthening the livelihoods of small and marginal farmers. A gamut of digital initiatives like autonomous and precise weed identification, Removal and herbicide spray, AI power mobile app pest and disease detection, Precise and accurate advisory, Predictive pest and disease alerts lead the way to transformation in agriculture ahead.
On an overall basis, Budget 2022 shall accelerate the growth of the Indian agriculture and allied sectors along with fueling new age agriculture practices, optimum utilization of resources and innovation.
